MQ135

Sensors & Modules

The MQ135-MQ2 Air Quality Sensor Module measures gas contaminants like ammonia, benzene, CO2, alcohol, and smoke using a tin oxide (SnO_2) sensing element. Operating at 5V DC, it features dual outputs: an analog 0–5V signal for concentration profiling and a digital TTL output with an onboard potentiometer threshold adjustment.

Specifications:

- Sensor Type: MQ-135 Air Quality Sensor Module
- Operating Voltage: 5V DC
- Target Gases: Ammonia (NH3), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), Benzene, Alcohol, CO2, and Smoke
- Signal Outputs: Dual output - 0-5V Analog (A0) and TTL Digital (D0 via onboard LM393 comparator)
- Sensitivity Control: Adjustable digital switching threshold via onboard 10k potentiometer
- Response & Warm-up Time: <10 seconds response time; ~20 seconds initial warm-up (up to 24h burn-in for baseline stability)
- Operating Temperature: -10°C to 50°C
- Hardware Integration: 4-pin header interface (VCC, GND, A0, D0) with onboard power and signal LEDs
